With the effects of Hounglongbing (Citrus Greening) threatening the California citrus industry it has become important for farmers to source clean products from non-infested nurseries. Duarte Nursery is located in Stanislaus, a clean county.
Duarte Nursery prides itself on its clean stock program. Soon, our clean stock program will encompass our entire citrus line. In the clean stock program the tissue cultured, clonal rootstocks will originate in our state of the art lab, then they will be grown-on and budded inside a screened greenhouse before being moved outside to finish under insect net. We are currently working with UC Riverside and various citrus breeders to acquire the newest variety releases.

100% containerized means no disrupted root system and a sterile growing environment. Rootstocks are clonally developed through tissue culture which means uniformity in growth and attributes. All trees are budded and grown enclosed in a screened greenhouse for protection from vectors. Duarte Nursery is committed to an interactive Clean Stock Program. Growers will enjoy quality plants regardless of the challenges the citrus industry may face.
Product Format
Duarte Nursery provides Citrus in two formats; finished trees and micro grafted liners. Finished trees are in a 3.75” x 3.75 x 9.5” plastic pot. Grafted liners are in a 38 cell plug tray, well rooted, approximately 18” tall.
