Steve Scheuber

Steve Scheuber specializes in Almonds, Walnuts, Pistachios, Cherries, Grapevines, Citrus, and Stone Fruit. His tree territory for the nursery includes Central and Southern San Joaquin Valley from San Joaquin County to Kern County.  His vine territory for the nursery covers the Central Coast from the Santa Cruz Mountains to Los Angeles. Steve has been with the Duarte Trees and Vines sales team since 1996.
Steve was raised in a farming family in Ceres, California. Steve graduated in 1989 from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo where he majored in Agricultural Management with a concentration in Marketing.

Steve is a former President of Growers Harvesting Association, and is currently a Liaison Committee Member and Advisory Council Member for Blue Diamond Growers.  His passion is making potted trees and vines grow. Steve also farms almonds here in the Hughson area.

John Arellano

John Arellano specializes in Grapevines, Walnuts, Pistachios, Cherries, Citrus and Stone Fruit. His territory includes Grapevines in the San Joaquin valley and the south valley including Fresno, Tulare, Kern and Madera counties, as well as Walnuts, Pistachios, Cherries, Citrus & Stone Fruit north of Highway 198.

John is a third generation wine grape grower. He represents the nursery to its clients throughout Northern California and Napa County on cultural practices and provides recommendations on commodities ranging from grapes, almonds, pistachios, walnuts, and stone fruits. John is a licensed PCA/QAL and a member of the California Agricultural Production Consultants Association. He was appointed in 2003 by the Bush Administration to the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Committee to Advise Reassess and Transition (CARAT), working with both US EPA and the US Department of Agriculture on policy affecting pesticide use.

John currently serves as Vice-President for the Fresno State Viticulture Alumni. John is also a professional member of the American Society for Enology and Viticulture and is a graduate of the California Agriculture Leadership Program (Class 35).

John graduated from California State University, Fresno with a B.S. in Plant Science in 1996. He was the Outstanding Viticulture Student in 1995.

Lorin AmsberryLorin Amesberry

Lorin Amesberry specializes in Almonds, Walnuts, Pistachios, and Prunes. His territory encompasses the Sacramento Valley and all areas north.
Lorin Amsberry graduated from California State University Stanislaus.   He has experience working in field silage crops, and soil and tissue testing for an agricultural chemical firm.  He is managing foreman for G.L. Foster Ranches and horticulture director for diversified farm and orchard operations in Modern Continental, and he is the Production Assistant and Field Representative for Flower Nurseries.
Currently he represents Duarte Nursery to its clients in the Sacramento Valley where he specializes in fruit trees and nuts.  Lorin is involved in the International Society for Horticultural Science, The Washington State Horticultural Association, and he is a certified arborist for the International Society of Arboriculture.

Stefan Daniels specializes in Grapevines. His territory includes the North Coast, and Napa and Sonoma areas.

Pilar Luchsinger

Pilar Luchsinger works with grapevines.  She services growers in the North Coast counties of California.

Pilar Luchsinger was raised in the farming community of Lake County.  She is a third generation grape grower. She graduated from UC Berkeley in 1998.  She joined Duarte Nursery in 2005 as a Field Representative. She has assisted many growers in the North Coast develop vineyards by helping with rootstock and clonal selection and making trellis recommendations.  Pilar is presently active as a vineyard manager and marketer for Luchsinger Vineyards.  Pilar holds a QAL with the Department of Pesticide Regulation in CA as well as a Farm Labor Contractor’s License.  She is a member of the Lake County Winegrape Commission’s Research and Education committee.

Joel MyersJoel Myers

Joel Myers specializes in Grapevines. He is the nursery’s exclusive grapevine field representative for Oregon and Washington.

Joel has been a vineyard manager in Oregon’s Willamette Valley since 1980.  He received a BS in Geography/Environmental Science from University of Oregon.

His Management Company is called Vinetenders LLC, and currently farms about 260 acres of vineyards in Oregon.  His company farm for: Domaine Serene Winery, Soter Winery, Penner-Ash Winery, Guadalupe Vineyard, and Two Barns Vineyard.   Joel has worked as the Oregon Field Representative for Duarte Nursery since 1998.   He is a member of the Oregon Farm Bureau, Oregon Horticultural Society, Professional Member American Society of Enology and Viticulture, and Advisory board member for Chemekata Community College Viticulture Department Salem, Oregon.

Ed NeedhamEd Needham

Edward Needham specializes in Citrus.  He services the Citrus growing areas of California.

Ed has over 25 years experience farming Citrus, Plums, Grapes, Pomegranates, Persimmons, and Olives. He graduated from California State University, Fresno with a B.S. in Plant Science and Agricultural Mechanics in 1984.

Ed is a licensed PCA/QAL and a member of CAPCA. He is the current President of the Tulare County Farm Bureau and a board member of the Kern County Farm Bureau. He farms Citrus and Pomegranates in Delano.

Ed enjoys the challenges of farming and is available to help you address your specific development and cultural needs.

Andrew GenasciAndrew Genasci

Andrew comes to us from a deep farming and dairy background in Stanislaus County where he is a fourth generation member of his family’s operation.  He is a product of both Modesto Junior College and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where he majored in Ag. Business and Dairy Science.

Andrew specializes in producers looking to diversify and expand their production options.  He works in Almonds, Walnuts, Grapevines, Cherries and Pomegranates.

Andrew is the past president of the Stanislaus County Holstein Breeders, was a delegate representative for California to the National Holstein Convention and was the recipient of the 2005 Central Region FFA’s “Hometown Hero” award.  He is currently a member of the American Society for Enology and Viticulture and the Stanislaus County Farm Bureau.
