John Arellano specializes in Grapevines, Walnuts, Pistachio, Almonds. His territory is the south valley including Fresno, Tulare, Kern and Madera counties, as well as San Joaquin County.
John is a third-generation wine grape grower. He represents the nursery to its clients throughout Northern California and Napa County on cultural practices and provides recommendations on commodities ranging from grapes, almonds, pistachios, walnuts. John is a Graduate (Class 35) of the California Agricultural leadership Foundation. He was appointed in 2003 by the Bush Administration to the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Committee to Advise Reassess and Transition (CARAT), working with both US EPA and the US Department of Agriculture on policy affecting pesticide use.
John currently is a Past President for the Fresno State Viticulture Alumni and is also a professional member of the American Society for Enology and Viticulture.
John graduated from California State University, Fresno with a B.S. in Plant Science in 1996. He was the Outstanding Viticulture Student in 1995 and Awarded the Alumni award for Fresno State Viticulture and Enology Program.
